 This could be a very essential tool for DVR purposes. I think the biggest improvement would be to engineer it for multi wakeup events with a single screen to view all that are enabled. I don\'t like having an entry in the systray for each event.I would also like some info on how to get around the User Access Control in Vista. If the pc is rebooted, often it marks each entry & keeps it from running until I specifically enable it.
 I think it is a great idea. Unfortunately not simple enough for my needs: a small non resident utility to remote boot a remote PC on demand.Good tool though.

 Since installing on Vista Home edition I\'ve had two Explorer lock ups - still trying to identify cause but looks like it has upset something...

My problem cannot be solve.After i install the shutdown lock,i try to open my application and yet it still auto shutdown.I dont understand why it still happen.Any solution or setup can be solve about this problem?My application run around 10min and auto shutdown is appear!

You need to have a timer, so that I can shutdown, hibernate, etc... at a certain time, or in a certain amount of time.
i.e:
- hibernate at 3:00 am;
- shutdown in 2 hours 35 minutes.
... etc.
Otherwise, the utility is of no use to me at all.

While you have hibernation enabled Windows creates big files that occupy your disk space on c: without any reason. Having more free space on the drive where Windows is installed means that Windows will run better. The software will disable hibernation when it is not necessary. It will do everything automatically.

Does what Windows sluold but cannot The program is just what I have been looking for. My Windows Vista cannot hibernate automaticaly.
 Problems Getting AgataSoft Pro to work From the outset... This is a smart straight-forward application wich I thought was the answer to my energy saving quest.
However, for the two days |I had it installed on my PC, I have not been able to get it to work.
I am currently using:-

Norton System Works (Antivirus)
I mainly wanted it for its Hibernation function but it just wouldn't activate.
I even tried the basic CPU option, making sure the idle percentage was set well above usage and there were no music playing but I would return to my PC to find it hadn't ...

Recommendation Really satisfied. Works smoothly and definitely.It very usable instead of shortcuts, "built in notebook".
 Won`t work with printer I purchased Shut Down Expert for the "hibernates/awakens" feature. However, after the computer awakens my deskjet D1320 printer will not work. Prior to installing SDE, the printer worked fine. I must restart the computer for the printer to work after hibernation. SDE tech support says that it's the printer driver. HP printer support, after extensive trouble shooting, said to uninstall SDE, that the SDE software was the cause of the problem since the printer works fine without it installed. So, I'm left with the "shut down/restart" option if I continue to use SDE. I'm not a satisfied customer ...
